Camp High Hopes, a new camp for children, teens, and adults with disabilities in Sioux City, IA, seeks service-minded, compassionate summer staff interested in helping to facilitate a safe, fun, and fulfilling summer experience for campers of all ages. Our summer staff helps further the camp’s mission to provide a safe, fun, and adaptive recreational experience for people with disabilities through daily interactions with campers in our Day and Sleep-Away (Overnight) Camps. Camp staff act as the primary caregivers for campers with disabilities by providing needed personal care assistance and activity adaptation.
A summer at Camp High Hopes provides the opportunity for college students and young adults to gain vital job skills and experience, while growing personally and professionally. Positions include: Sleep-Away Counselors, Activity Leaders, Lifeguards, and Day Camp Counselors. Prior experience at camp and in caring for people with disabilities is desired, but not required.
