Grace University has been awarded the Jonathan N. Thigpen Enrollment Growth Award from the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). The award stems from Grace University experiencing a 29 percent growth rate in enrollment in the 2013-2014 school year. Dr. Vermooten’s new designation as Diplomate is limited to a select group of professionals who have demonstrated outstanding abilities within their specialty and meet the stringent requirements of the American Psychotherapy Association in the areas of knowledge, skill, education, training and experience in the therapeutic process. Grace University has announced four new promotions that are related to the establishment of the School of Professional and Graduate Studies. The establishment of the School of Professional and Graduate Studies allows Grace University to reach out to the community in more significant ways, grow programs with deep biblical integration and impact more students for the cause of Christ.
Jim Santoro, Dean of the School of Professional and Graduate Studies, was the keynote speaker at the Bellevue Drug Commission’s recent Alcohol and Drug Awareness Breakfast. Santoro, a licensed professional counselor, discussed the importance of educating our children and their parents on the dangers of alcohol and drug use as well as the importance of team work between parents, teachers, law enforcement and counselors. He spoke to more than 75 people of all ages during the annual event where community members are honored for their commitment to preventing substance abuse. Grace University today announced the establishment of the School of Professional and Graduate Studies, the result of a $1 million gift from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. With this gift, the Grace University Board of Trustees has, to date, committed $1.7 million to the Growing with Grace campaign.
