Pack lunches, feed the dog, make breakfast, wake and dress the kids, drop them off at school, work a full 8-hour day, pick up the kids, make dinner, sports/piano/dance lessons (depending on the day, of course), facilitate homework and get the kids to bed. There’s barely time to blink – let alone finish your degree! Right? WRONG!
There’s never been a better time to finish your bachelor’s degree at Grace University. In 16 months – or less – you can complete a bachelor’s degree in Business Leadership, Ministry Studies or Psychology that will open new doors in your current profession, or help you begin a new career.
Classes meet just one night per week for five or six weeks each, from 6 to 10 p.m. A close friend can take care of dinner, lessons and homework one night a week, right?
It’s possible to accelerate your program by adding online classes. Grace also offers experiential credits and generously transfers credits from other accredited universities.
Plus, Grace’s faculty is dedicated to strengthening your leadership skills and willing to help as you balance your professional, family and student life. After all, the university’s mission is to develop servant leaders who will take their faith into their professions. Here are just a few tips to help balance your personal and student life:
- Make a schedule and post it for the whole family to see.
- Set an example. Do your homework while the kids are doing theirs.
- Take your homework with you. Work as the kids are at their evening activities.
- Set aside family time. Don’t let work and school take over your life; be sure to keep your family relationships strong with scheduled family time, including dinner around the table or a family game night.
