Professional Profile

Dr. Ramsey joined the faculty in the fall of 2004 after earning his graduate degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville KY and Bachelor of Science from Indiana University Southeast.

He is an active member of the North American Professors of Christian Education (NAPCE) and also the Association of Youth Ministry Educators (AYME).

Teaching and Related Service

Dr. Ramsey teaches courses in the area of youth ministry, adult ministry, children’s ministry family ministry, Bible teaching, Spiritual formation, Leadership and administration.

He also oversees the department of Christian ministry and is the academic advisor for students in the concentrations of youth ministry and Christian education.

He has served in several churches in various roles and currently teaches and preaches in churches in the Omaha area and offers services in church consultation.

Research and Creative Activity

Dr. Ramsey’s research concerns ministering to people across the life span and the philosophy and history of education. He has published several reviews on educational and leadership philosophy. He also has published an article on the professor’s role as a spiritual mentor through grading of student’s work.

Personal Sketch

Dr. Ramsey lives in Omaha with his wife and five children. A native of Southern Indiana, he enjoys the great outdoors and investing every moment possible into his family.
