Dr. Lundgren teaches a variety of classes in the Teacher Education Department of Grace University. Teaching is her passion, and she teaches undergraduate courses as well as courses in the graduate program. Department administrative duties are an interesting challenge as well. Dr. Lundgren’s BS degree is in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood. Her MS and Ed.D degrees are in Educational Administration. She has taught at the elementary, middle school and high school level. Dr. Lundgren also served as a K-12 principal and superintendent.
Teaching and Related Service
In addition to teaching duties, Dr. Lundgren supervises student teachers. She also serves on several committees at the University. In 2012 Dr. Lundgren was appointed to direct the Teacher Education Graduate Program.
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Lundgren’s research focus has been in the area of school governance. She has published articles in the Association of Christian Schools Educational Journal dealing with effective teaching in Christian schools. Dr. Lundgren also has enjoyed many opportunities to train and deliver professional development to various K-12 teachers and administrators. She has been invited to speak at several conferences focused on effective teaching. Dr. Lundgren has developed materials and led training sessions for the boards of private schools. She has also served on area private school boards.
Dr. Lundgren and her husband, Terry, have four married children who have blessed them with nine grandchildren–so far! She enjoys reading, biking, travelling, supporting Grace athletics and the Nebraska Cornhuskers,and babysitting grandchildren whenever time permits.
