Teacher Education: Supplemental Endorsements
Supplemental endorsements require that the student already be getting a teaching certificate in one or more of the primary endorsement areas. These extra endorsements allow the prospective teacher to increase their earning potential by adding extra skills valued by schools in the current educational environment.
Completing the 15 credits of online coursework for an English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching endorsement gives current and prospective educators a flexible learning option that facilitates their success with English Language Learners (ELL) in diverse classrooms, improves their marketability, and increases their earning potential.
This supplemental endorsement is available at both the graduate and undergraduate level.
Completing the 7 credits of coursework in Early Childhood education gives the prospective teacher an endorsement that facilitates their success with students grades K-3. These skills are highly sought after for teachers at these grade levels in the educational system.
