The Logan Christian Church in Logan, IA (about 35 minutes from downtown Omaha) is looking for a Weekend Worship Minister. He or she would be responsible for casting vision for the worship ministry, leading a weekly modern worship service, coordinating a team of volunteers, and directing rehearsals.

Associate Pastor of Youth and Student Ministires

Mountain Lake, MN

This is a part time position for which we are seeking a responsible leader who has a calling to inspire and equip jr/sr. high students to take steps to grow towards maturity in Christ. Preference will be given to applicants with the desire and ability to contribute to a worship team. This will require someone who is themselves growing in their walk, and is willing to work with a team of sponsors and church leadership.

Overarching Purpose #1: Nurture spiritual growth in the youth and students of our church and community.
Primary Goals: 
1. Organize and Oversee the Teaching and Discpleship of our Jr/Sr High students.
2. Establish and cultivate relationships between unchurched teens and the church. 
3. Provide positive activities and events to foster healthy, encouraging relationships for Cornerstone and community youth.
4. Grow through training and mentoring as a youth pastor.

Overarching Purpose #2: Assist the current worship teams by contributing as a musician.
Primary Goals: 
1. Join the Worship Teams as needed. Cornerstone is currently in need of additional musicians. At this time and as we look to the future, we have a need for a guitarist or drummer. A lead keyboard player could also be a great fit.

Faith Outreach Volunteer Leaders will gain a deeper understanding of the intersection of faith and animal protection and help to bring to the forefront the moral issue of how to treat animals in our modern society while strengthening such important skills as networking, strategic thinking, and leadership. They will have the opportunity to work with faith leaders and experts in faith outreach, organize animal protection volunteers, and collaborate with a prominent animal protection organization to promote animal protection in the faith community.

Director of Youth Ministries

Cedar Valley Bible Church, Cedar Rapids Iowa

 

The youth director will serve with Cedar Valley Bible Church as a full-time paid staff member, with ministry responsibilities primarily focused toward CVBC Junior and Senior High School students and their parents.

Youth Director Responsibilities:

1. 1. Lead the way in strategizing, planning, organizing, and participating in youth activities/programs which further the realization of the Vision for CVBC Youth Ministry.
2. 2. Provide leadership in the area of long-term planning for teaching topics and Scripture study.
3. 3. Coordinate with other church staff to explore opportunities for engaging youth in ministry opportunities within the broader assembly.
4. 4. Engage and enlist the help of parents and other adults who can bring positive assistance with mentoring, hospitality, teaching, music, etc. as needed to enhance the effectiveness of the youth group and broaden its ministry reach
5. 5. Serve as a role model, teacher, mentor, and pastoral resource to the youth at CVBC.
6. 6. Assume additional areas of responsibility as appropriate to the specific skills/interests of the youth director and needs within the body.

Youth Director Qualifications:

1. 1. Exhibits a growing personal relationship with God, a teachable spirit, a healthy family life, and a demonstrated lifestyle which is congruent with biblical mandates for leaders (I Timothy 3:1-7).
2. 2. Possesses a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study, experience in youth ministry, a high degree of personal initiative, strong organizational skills, and a solid knowledge of the Bible.
3. 3. Demonstrates a passion for youth ministry, a good rapport when interacting with students and adults, and a burden for evangelism.
4. 4. Displays a love of the Scriptures and skill in communicating them to others.
5. 5. Shares a theological and ministry perspective which is consistent with the Cedar Valley Bible Church Doctrinal Statement and the Vision for CVBC Youth Ministry (See www.cedarvalley.org for these documents.)

Starting Salary Range:

Associate Youth Pastor

We are currently looking for an Associate pastor who can develop a youth program. Currently we have lots of children up through Jr. High and no H.S. Kids. We anticipate a youth group of 20 + kids in the next few years. We are a country church with attendance of about 160 on Sunday Mornings and growing. We have a new gymnasium classroom building that we finished in 2010. This is a full time position.
In the last year our church (Eden Mennonite Church) changed from the Mennonnite Church USA to the Alliance of Mennonite Evgangelical Congregations.
