Media Team Leader

Camp Victory

Earn college credit for your summer camp job! Many universities offer internship credit in various fields like parks and recreation, education, child development, tourism, etc. Contact your school for more information.
The Media Team Leader is responsible for supervising the production of several weekly media assignments in a timely and profession fashion. The MTL will be actively involved in the production process, but will also be responsible to supervise and train other Media Team members. Projects will include taking and cataloguing photos of every camper who attends a program, producing CV Now, a daily “camp newscast” video, creating special videos to promote activities that take place during the week, conducting camper interviews, preparing group photos to be sold in the Camp Store and/or online, and other similar projects.
The ideal intern will have some previous exposure to photography, photo editing and video editing, will be a creative self-starter, and fully embraces the mission and values of Camp Victory. This is an educational opportunity to sharpen and further develop skills and interests in media-related work, to manager multiple projects, and to develop skills in the management of a small team (3-4 members).
Summer internships at camp last for ten to twelve weeks and will include training for general responsibilities. Interns will gain at least 300 hours of experience working in their area of focus. Summer Interns receive a stipend plus housing and meals. Interns will also be given time for the necessary reports and mentoring throughout the summer.
During the course of the summer Interns will have additional (beyond the scope of the 300 hour internship), non-related assignments including but not limited to supervision of campers, activity instruction, and other summer camp related assignments.

1. If earning college credit is a priority for you, first consult with your college's Career Services office about internship requirements. You may also need to speak with the head of your academic department. Those wishing to participate in the Camp Victory summer intern program without pursuing college credit are also welcome to apply. Summer Internships provide resume building value whether college credit is received or not.

2. Apply for a job at camp this summer and indicate the internship you would like to complete this summer. Apply online at wwwcampvictory.com

3. Accept the job that is right for you and bring the necessary paperwork to camp. Complete the internship and return the paperwork to the appropriate administrator at your school.
