Individual Campus Visit

The Best Time to Visit

Plan to spend at least half a day on the Grace University campus. The best time to visit campus is during the school year when classes are in session. Morning or afternoon visits are available Monday through Friday, however we encourage you to begin your visit in the morning in order to take advantage of Grace L.I.F.E. – the GU chapel experience. In order to avoid campus breaks, check the Academic Calendar.

Weekday Visit

When scheduling an individual weekday campus visit you may choose from the following options:

Admissions Appointment

Meeting with an Admissions Counselor is like having a tour guide in a new and different land! These trained professionals can provide you with information on the application procedure, scholarships, academics, student life, housing, as well as the financial aid process. This one-on-one time can be most beneficial in helping you sort through the maze of questions and concerns.

Financial Aid Appointment

Representatives from the Financial Aid office are available to meet with you to provide an in-depth look at financial aid and instruct you on a step-by-step process for completing the necessary forms.

Visit with a Professor

You will find that the faculty at Grace truly cares about each and every student. Visiting with these dynamic professionals can provide you the chance to learn about the academic offerings in your area(s) of interest. Even if you are unsure about which academic program to choose, professors are always willing to meet and brain storm with you.

Have Lunch in the Dining Commons

The GU Dining Commons is open each day for lunch from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. If you are on campus over the lunch hour, lunch is on us! Experience firsthand the delicious food available to Grace Students each and every day.

Attend a Class

This is your chance to observe a faculty member in action and be a part of a regularly scheduled class. And the best part….you won’t have to take any tests! Most classes are offered Monday thru Thursday.

Grace L.I.F.E. (chapel)

Offered Monday through Thursday from 10:30 am – 11:00 am, the Grace L.I.F.E. (Life Integration For Excellence) experience offers students an opportunity to be in community with each other, pray, worship, share testimonies, and be challenged by the Word of God. Students experience a whole spectrum of experiences during Grace L.I.F.E including but not limited to visitor or alum presentations, Dr. Eckman speaking, student-led worship, or representatives from the community. Each and every chapel experience is a time to “stir the pot” with the goal of integrating education, faith and life.

Overnight Visit

Look inside and stay awhile! Staying overnight in the Residence Halls will provide you with an inside look at what it is like to be a student at Grace University. Most students meet their GU hosts in the late afternoon or evening. You will have the chance to ask current students lots of questions and gain a first-hand perspective. Activities for the evening will vary depending on the day of your visit and the plans of your host. Keep in mind that your host may have studying to do! Imagine that!

Overnight visits are offered during the academic year for individual weekday visits, Saturday morning campus tours and in conjunction with College Preview Days or G.R.A.C.E. Days.

What to Bring

Please bring a pillow, sleeping bag, bath towel, and any toiletries that you will need. If you plan to utilize the weight room, aerobic room, indoor walking track, or basketball courts during your stay, you will need appropriate attire.

Summer Visit

During a summertime visit, we can provide you with a tour of the campus and the opportunity to visit with Admissions and Financial Aid personnel. Since the residence halls are vacant during the summer months, they are typically not air-conditioned and not available for overnight housing.
