Prior to beginning his tenure at Grace University, Professor Gall has worked in immunological research, residential care of the developmentally disabled, management of residential facilities, a counselor for homeless, criminals, drug addicts, sex offenders, etc. for both youth and adults. Professor Gall has also both developed and managed treatment programs for private companies as well as through private practice as an administrator and clinical director. Additionally, Professor Gall has worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor and job placement specialist for injured workers in Nebraska.
Prior to becoming a full time faculty in 2009, Professor Gall taught as an adjunct in his areas of specialties. Currently, Professor Gall teaches classes in psychology, social science, as well as courses for licensure in drug and alcohol counseling. In addition, Professor Gall also teaches in the graduate department providing instruction in career and addictions counseling. In addition to Professor Gall's teaching responsibilities, he is also the Chair of the Psychology Department, the Director of the Curriculum Committee, and the Career Center Director.
Professor Gall's research primarily involves personality constructs, the development of intercultural competence, spiritual development, and select areas in addiction. Beyond the research that Professor Gall conducts, he is a member of the Institutional Review Board for the university.
Professor Gall’s current non-academic interests continue to be working with addicts, criminals, and injured workers. Additionally, Professor Gall enjoys actively working in his community and church. When there is free time, time is spent fishing, doing home improvement, yard care, gardening, riding his motorcycle, or sport shooting. Finally, and most importantly, Professor Gall dearly values his time with his wonderful wife and four children.
