Professional Profile

Marilyn Amstutz grew up in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. After receiving her B.A. from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio, she returned to Canada to teach high school English for three years. After marrying Dr. Kent Amstutz, she taught middle school English for two years in Des Moines, Iowa. She received her M.A. in Biblical Studies from Grace University in 2009.

Teaching and Related Service

The Air Force sent the Amstutz family to Biloxi, MS and Omaha, NE and Tacoma, WA and then back to Omaha. During that time, Marilyn enjoyed both homeschooling her two daughters and substitute teaching at their public school. She has enjoyed teaching inductive Bible studies, volunteering in her church youth group and writing church curriculum.

Research and Creative Activity

Marilyn enjoys writing devotionals for women and speaking to various college and women's groups.

Personal Sketch

Marilyn has a grandson who lives in Madrid, Spain. As a result, "Grammie" is usually planning her next trip to Spain.
