Intercultural Studies is relevant for cross-cultural work anywhere in the world. Whichever track you choose, you will find that the unique learning you gain through the IS program has prepared you for a lifetime of cross-cultural work and service. All students consider the intercultural realities present in both domestic and international work.
International
The international track involves six months of global service-learning in Mali, West Africa. While in Mali, students in the international track consider the realities of daily life and ministry, within the context of a postcolonial society. Students especially focus on developing an appreciation for the benefits and limitations that North Americans bring while serving abroad. Students serve and study under the leadership of Malian pastors and the Eglise Evangélique Protestante du Mali.
Domestic
Domestic track students participate in a six month global service-learning experience in Jackson, Mississippi and Seattle, Washington.
