Grace University’s Master of Education exists to develop servant leaders within the education profession through excellence in biblically integrated instruction and student-focused service learning.
The Master of Science in Education (MSEd) degree is for the teaching professional who desires to grow in their professional skills and knowledge. It is an accelerated, 16 month, four semester degree for those who already possess (or have possessed) a teaching certificate. It is designed for the professional who desires to further develop their teaching skills, study the latest research in curriculum and instruction, and earn a Nebraska ESL Endorsement.
The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) is designed for those seeking initial Nebraska State Teaching Certification. It is an accelerated, 16 month, four semester degree designed for students who have received a Bachelor’s Degree, have never held a teaching certificate, and desire Nebraska Department of Education Certification.
Our MAT integrates classroom management techniques and technology skills with a strong Biblical worldview that students have come to expect from a Grace University education. Students are prepared to serve both locally and internationally in a Christ-honoring manner – whether they teach in a public, private, or parochial school environment.
Our accelerated Master’s of Arts in Teaching enables individuals already possessing a non-educational bachelor’s degree to guide into an elementary education or secondary education career focused on serving 7th to 12th grade students in the following endorsement areas:
