Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Master of Arts/Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Overview of this Program

The Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is designed to meet the standards of both the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and the State of Nebraska for licensure as a professional counselor. The degree enables the graduate to work in a variety of settings where he/she can apply the training as a mental health professional to help people gain healing and wholeness.

Course Requirements

To successfully complete the State Licensure Program, students must complete a total of 64 credit hours.

Theological Studies or Biblical Studies Concentrations

Master of Arts / Christian Ministry

Overview of this Program

This concentration is a general curriculum that includes classes in Biblical studies, theological studies, and select ministry skills. Graduates in either of these concentrations are prepared to knowledgeably interpret and apply the Bible, develop and utilize some advanced ministry skills, and address contemporary issues in our culture and the world.

Course Requirements

To successfully complete the Theological Studies / Biblical Studies Concentration, students must complete a total of 48 credit hours.

Ministry Leadership Concentration

Master of Arts/Christian Ministry

Overview of this Program

The Ministry Leadership concentration is designed for students who desire to enhance their skills and training in order to serve in administrative or leadership positions within local church or parachurch (church-related) ministries. Various offerings relate to ministry skills, ministry leadership, teaching and speaking skills, and the biblical and theological foundations for ministry in the contemporary world.

Course Requirements

To successfully complete the Ministry Leadership Concentration, students must complete a total of 48 credit hours.

Counseling Ministries Concentration

Master of Arts / Christian Ministry

The Counseling Ministry concentration provides training in preparation for counseling work in a church or parachurch setting.

To successfully complete the Counseling Ministries Concentration, students must complete a total of 48 credit hours.

Rural Church Ministries Concentration

Master of Arts / Christian Ministry

Overview of this Program

The Rural Church Ministry concentration emphasizes preparation for ministry in a rural church setting and contains off-site course work.

Course Requirements

To successfully complete the Rural Church Ministries Concentration, students must complete a total of 48 credit hours. .

Teacher Education Fast Track to Teaching

Overview of this Program

Grace University’s Fast-Track to Teaching offers college graduates the opportunity to complete coursework for a state-licensed teaching endorsement in as little as 12 months. Our Fast-Track to Teaching integrates classroom management techniques and technology skills with a strong Biblical worldview that students have come to expect from a Grace University education. Students are prepared to serve both locally and internationally in a Christ-honoring manner – whether they teach in a public, private, or parochial school environment.

Individuals interested in teaching elementary students can complete the required coursework for a state-licensed teaching endorsement in approximately 15 months.

Course Requirements

To successfully complete the Fast Track to Teaching, students must complete a total of at least 36 credit hours for secondary education or 58 credit hours for elementary education.
