Middle schoolers are different. They don't know if they are children or young adults and at times they act like both. This unparalleled time of life deserves a unique organizational design. This program will explore what makes that design different from other parts of the K-12 educational system. Understanding the middle school concept is only part of the issue. We believe that the young adolescent of today will benefit form a teacher who is a servant leader. A student receiving instruction in the Grace University Teacher Education Department will be able to develop those skills.
