Abby, where are you from and where are you living now? |
|
| |
AH: |
I am from the small town of Windom, Minnesota but am now living in Kalmar, Sweden. It was a huge change because I went from corn and beans to forests and a huge population! |

How did you come to the decision to go to Sweden? |
|
| |
AH: |
There were a few things that influenced me. First, this past school year my family hosted a foreign exchange student, and we became best friends. Also, I have a long line of family that comes from Sweden. I guess I was just frustrated because it was summer and I still didn't know where I wanted to go to college, so jokingly one day I asked John, my foreign exchange brother, if I could stay with his family, and after about an hour of discussing things, I made plans to go to Sweden!! |

What is the best part of your international experience so far? |
|

AH: |
The absolute best part is eating their amazing ice cream :) Just kidding. I guess what I enjoy most is being submerged in a culture that I was not familiar with and learning to live in a different way than I'm used to. Also, the sights are absolutely beautiful! |

Why did you choose Grace University? |

AH: |
I believe it was a complete God thing. Like I had mentioned before that I didn't know where I wanted to go to college. I had been praying for the longest time, and then finally, God just happened to let me stumble upon Grace's website. After looking through Grace's web page, I can't even describe the feeling of knowing that this is where God wanted me to be. It just felt right! |

How will Grace University help you to fulfill your goals? |

AH: |
Grace will definitely provide me with the skills I need for reaching my goals. Already, I have learned so much about myself and where my life is heading. |

For you, what has been the biggest advantage to taking online classes? |

AH: |
The biggest advantage would be being able to decide when I want to start my class for the day, and when I choose to finish my work. I guess just having my own schedule. |

Why did you choose Grace University’s Online Learning over another school with online education? |
|
| |
AH: |
I knew in the end I would benefit more from taking online courses from a Christian college. Also, I could see myself coming on campus next year which made me want to get my foot in the door and start my education. |

What has been the most rewarding educational experience in your online classes? |
|
| |
|
|
AH: |
I have really enjoyed reading the class assigned books because I there have been so many times I have been struck with, "Oooo!" moments. I just can't believe how much I am learning about the ways of Jesus and how I can apply that to my life. |
