MAJORS
You can major in music or music education. Music majors study a broad set of classes designed to deepen and widen the student’s understanding of music and ability to perform. It can prepare them for performing, church ministries, the music business, or private instruction. Music majors take classes in music theory, music history, conducting, music in worship, as well as many semesters of private lessons and ensemble participation.
Music education majors take the same set of basic music courses taken by music majors, but also take courses in education. Students who graduate in music education are certified to teach in any school in Nebraska (Christian, private, or public).
