Education For Today

Grace University, one of the premiere Bible colleges in the country, is excited to offer our Independent Studies.  For over 60 years, Grace has educated and trained Christian men and women and prepared them to be confident Christians—prepared for life, ministry and service.  All courses are designed to educate and train Christians all around the world from the same Christ-centered perspective that has benefited thousands of students for years.

The courses are based on the same courses taught in the classrooms of Grace University but adapted to fit the home study format.  And because Grace University is fully accredited, these courses (just like any course at Grace) are eligible for transfer to any institution.  (Because each institution decides exactly what courses they will accept for transfer, it is critical that you check with them to confirm the “transferability” of the course before you enroll.)

When you enroll in a Grace University Independent Study, you may access your course materials through Grace University's website site at www.graceuniversity.edu.  If you do not have access to the Internet then let us know and we will send your course material through the mail.  We will also notify you of the name of your supervising professor.  Your professor is available for any questions or guidance you may need as you work your way through the assignments.  If your particular course has exams, you will need to arrange for a local proctor to oversee your testing.  (Guidelines for choosing a proctor will be in your course materials.)

Each course must be completed within a 16-week period.  You may be granted an extension with payment of an additional fee.  You may register for a Grace University independent study at any time during the year.

Finish Your College Degree

For some students who choose to finish their college degree at a college or university other than Grace, Independent Studies are perfect choices as “electives” which are required by most college programs.  Taking a couple of Christ-centered courses and transferring them into another program is an ideal way to inject some biblical learning as a part of your overall college experience.
