June 29, 2009 – (Omaha, NE) Grace University has been informed by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools that the Higher Learning Commission has approved the site team’s recommendation to re-affirm accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission and the North Central Association through 2018-2019.
The accreditation process involves writing a self-study document focusing on the HLC-NCA criteria for accreditation – nearly a two-year process. During that time, five major committees, led by Dr. Karl Pagenkemper, Vice President for Academics, and Dr. Ron Shope, Professor of Communication and Research and involving faculty, staff and members of the Board of Trustees engaged in research, data gathering, and the writing of the study document.
“The re-affirmation of our accreditation through 2018-2019 with the HLC-NCA is a tremendous validation of our mission and the academic excellence that pervades Grace University,” said Dr. James Eckman, President Emeritus of Grace University. “I could not be more pleased. I am very proud of our faculty and staff and thank God for each one.”
