Youth Ministry Faculty Position

Grace University has a long lasting reputation of developing servant leaders for the home, the church and the world through excellence in biblically-integrated education. We are committed to providing students a life changing experience in a personal and discipling environment.

Grace University seeks a qualified candidate to serve in the Christian Ministry department who will teach primarily in the specialty of youth ministry. This position includes teaching, administrative, and advising responsibilities. There may also be opportunity to teach Christian Ministry classes at the graduate level. An expectation exists that the professional will maintain an active relationship within a local church or among local churches and/or parachurch ministries to maintain relevancy to students.

At Grace University, the Christian Ministry degree prepares students to be faithful ministers who prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up, equipping the saints for works of ministry (Eph. 4:12).
This is accomplished by developing students who:

  1. Articulate and communicate the Word of God as it applies to ministry
  2. Build and maintain personal and ministerial relationships
  3. Develop a theology and practice of servant leadership
  4. Manifest necessary character and skill for continued faithful ministry

  1. A Doctorate in Ministry (Ph.D., D.Min.)
  2. Five or more years of full-time ministry experience in youth ministry
  3. Compatibility with the University’s theological position and campus culture
  4. Ability to collaborate with the existing team
  5. Unquestioned integrity and in agreement with Grace University’s doctrinal position and mission

The faculty member will report to Academic Dean via the Christian Ministries Department Chair. The starting date will be August  1, 2013. This is a 10 month contract. The University offers faculty compensation contracts for instruction based on education, rank, and experience.  A generous benefit package exists including insurance and retirement components. Additional compensation is available for winter and summer session instruction.
