Aviation

Program Coordinator:
Karl E. Pagenkemper, Th.D.

Program Description

The aviation industry is an expanding and diverse career field that has generated strong demand for professionals with technical and leadership skills.  Our Aviation Cooperative Program is designed to prepare students for entry level careers as aviation professionals in ministry organizations, public and nonprofit agencies, and in business and industry settings.

The Aviation Program offers a Bachelor of Science degree that includes significant work in Bible and an aviation concentration with appropriate FAA credentialing based on aviation coursework at Iowa Western Community College.  Students can choose an aviation maintenance program or a professional pilot program of study.  For students interested in mission aviation option should contact the Program Coordinator for more information. A combination of both maintenance and pilot training are usually required by mission aviation organizations.

Students considering this program must meet admission requirements for Iowa Western Community College as well as Grace University.  Actual instruction at IWCC begins during the second year of college.  For more information about Iowa Western, visit their web site at www.iwcc.edu.
